Motivet - Friendship.......

Good morning to you all!

Firstly can I just say a huge thank you to all the sweet people who have been leaving me such wonderful comments recently...... it really makes me so happy to get your feedback and know that you've stopped by. I have been so bad with my commenting as I've been busier than ever at work and we're also trying to sell our house and have been busy with viewings.... we have someone coming to see it on Saturday morning with no house to sell, so you never know!!!

Anyway, today I have a card to show you using the sweetest ever stamp from Motivet.... isn't this garden fairy just the cutest thing..... did you see her little ear, lol?! My papers are Papermania Henbury Lane and the applique flowers and vine leaves are from an international seller on EBay. I created a circular butterfly mat with my MS butterfly corner punch and used lots of the obligatory liquid pearls to accent. The sweet fairy has been coloured with Polychromatic pencils and glittered with Stickles.

Well I usually have a Wednesday off but I have to go in to work today...... groan! So my normal midweek carfty session will just have to go on hold ;o(

Thanks so much for your time today, I appreciate it so much!

Stampavie Challenge - Spots.....

Good morning everyone!

Today I have a card to show you which I'm entering into the Stampavie Challenge.... this week the theme is spots. As you can see I'm done with the clean and simple style and back to what I know best, lol! I adore this Sarah Kay image!!! The little boy looks like he has not a care in the world as he strolls along with his pitchfork on his shoulders..... and I bet he's whistling a sweet tune as he goes!!

I've used new papers from Basic Grey's yummy Olivia range, one of which is spotty and you'll notice I added some spotty ribbon too. The flowers are from Papirloftet and the rest of the bits and bobs are from my stash.

Well as usual I'm in a hurry to leave for work so I'll be back later for a lovely blog hop to see what you've all been up to...... have a great day and thanks so much for stopping by ;o)

Sarah Kay - Live A Little.....

Good morning folks..... hope you are well today!

I'm here to show you a card I made over the weekend with my fave Sarah Kay stamp. This is my attempt at clean and simple...... well I know it's still quite busy but it's a good attempt for me, lol! I added lots of punched Martha Stewart flowers to create some hanging foliage and then just stamped my image and sentiment to create the finished card. I'm pleased with the effect as it's a little different and I think has a fresh, summery feel..... hope you like it too!

Thanks so much for stopping by today ;o)

Basic Grey DT Card - Photo Inspiration......

Hi folks!

I'm so late posting my card for today's Basic Grey Challenge that I'm going to keep it short! We have a wonderful photo to give you inspiration and this was chosen by my lovely teamie Heather. For some reason I thought of Christmas..... I think it was seeing the red and green and also the little red berries..... so I decided to ink up one of last year's Tilda's and create a festive card.

I used my new Basic Grey papers from the Oliver range and created the lovely fir tree leaves with a Marianne Creatables die. I hope you'll join us for this week's challenge and maybe you'll be inspired to make a Christmas card too?! It's never too early you know, lol!

Have a great weekend in the sun my friends...... and come on England for tomorrow!

Wild Sprout Birthday Wishes.....

Good morning everyone!

I used to quite like the thought of making a male-themed card but now I've gone off the idea, lol! Being someone who loves to over-embelliesh I just find it hard to find extras to add and to me the card ends up looking bare. Ah well, I've done my best.... this is a birthday card I made for my friend's son who is eight today.

I used the new Basic Grey papers from the Oliver collection and a Wild Sprout image from The Greetings Farm. Not much more to say about it really so I'll scoot off to work now.....

Hope you have a fine day and I'll catch you later!

Big hugs, Tara xxx

Motivet - Make A Wish.......

Good morning everyone!

Sorry it's been such a long time since I posted a card! I've had such a busy week doing stuff with the kids..... cricket matches, concerts, sleep overs.... phew! Where did the last week go?!!! We've also had a couple of viewings on the house which has meant mega cleaning sessions. At least I don't have any housework to do today, YAY!!

My card today is for a friend's birthday and it's the first time I've used a Motivet image..... they are soooooo sweet and cuddly! It definitely won't be the last time either as I treated myself to four new designs.

The papers I've chosen are from my scrap box and I'm not sure who made them sadly. The flowers are Prima and the butterfly is Papirloftet. As you can see I got carried away with the liquid pearls again.... I'm really enjoying adding them to my projects at the moment!! Oh and I nearly forgot, I had a play with some of my Tapestry Peg stamps around my image too.

Well it's been lovely to have something to show you today and I look forward to seeing what you've been up to as well..... thanks so much for stopping by ;o)

Harmony.... Always and Forever

Good morning everyone!

Here is a card I made yesterday for my friend's daughter who gets married this coming Saturday...... I received my gorgeous new Tilda and Edwin couple on Tuesday so just in the nick of time!!! And I think the wedding arch must be the most scrummy accessory every produced by Magnolia.... I LOVE IT!!!! I chose pretty Kay&Co papers and added a border with my MS heart punch as I really love that technique.

For my embellies I cut out flowers from the design paper and the main sentiment was also created this way. I'm loving liquid pearls at the minute and you'll see I managed to go crazy adding little pearly dots to every available space, lol!

I'm really happy with this card for a change, it worked out even better than I hoped and it's nice when that happens ;o)

I might enter some challenges but I'm not sure which ones yet, so I'll add the details later.

Thank you so much for stopping by and if you're leaving a comment then I truly appreciate your words..... but if you're just zipping by for a quick peek then that's cool too and I'm flattered that you chose my blog today ;o)

Dream Big.......

Good morning everyone!

Today I'm showing you a card I made for the new Hanglar Challenge 'lovely hanglar only' which is now in its second week. The theme is shabby chic which I love and it inspired me to use one of my older paper pads, Classic by Kay&Co. The Hanglar image was sent to me along time ago in a RAK and I coloured her with my pencils.

I got to use my new Tim Holtz die for the swirls and created a shabby calico fabric flower to finish the look.... I saw one of these a while back in blogland but have forgotten where, so if it was on your blog please let me know so I can credit you properly...... and whoever you are thanks for the inspiration anyway!

I'm also entering my card into the following challenges:

Crafty Creations Challenge - It's A Stitch Up

Have a wonderful day today and enjoy that sunshine if you're lucky enough to be having some ;o)

Appreciative.....

Good morning peeps!

This is a quick post a I'm dashing off to work as usual.... you know, cup of tea in one hand and mascara wand in the other, lol! Here is my card for the current Just Magnolia Challenge where the lovely Mina has provided us with a perfect sketch to follow..... I flipped it for my card ;o) I took inspiration from the uber talented guest Mindy who is being featured this week.... she added a punched border to the very edge of her card and I thought it looked so pretty I decided to do the same!

I used papers once again from the new Papermania Henbury Lane range and added one of the sweet felt butterflies they have released too, which I fastened to the back of the Tilda image. The flowers are Papirloftet and the pearls and ribbon are from my stash. Do you spot the sweet little butterfly? I picked that up recently at Hobbycrafts, isn't it totally adorable?

Well enjoy your day friends..... the office awaits me so I really must fly!

Tilda Ladybug Love......

Good morning everyone!

I hope you are enjoying your weekend so far! Well I sat down to make a card at the end of the week and found my mojo had disappeared big time! I just couldn't muster anything so I turned on my PC and decided to have a good old blog surf..... well it wasn't long before I stumbled across Jane's fantastic tutorial on the Whiff of Joy Tutorial blog to make a punched screen card. And so this card was born and I really enjoyed creating it.... the effect is really pretty and feminine!

I used this sweet Ladybug Tilda for my card and coloured her with Poly pencils and some Stickles. She is definitely up there with my fave Tildas I think.... what a cutie!!

The design paper is a new range from Papermania called Henbury Lane and is a gorgeous collection of pinks, lilacs and blues. I used various punches and dies to create the punched screen and added a couple of Prima flowers and a Tim Holtz ticket to finish.

Thank you so much for sharing your ideas Jane and for kickstarting my mojo in the process ;o)

I'm entering my card into the following challenges today:

My Time To Craft - Xtra Special

Sentimental Sundays - Summer

Stampavie and More - Dots

Basic Grey DT Card - Week 22 Colour Combo, Brown, Turquoise, Cream.....

Happy weekend everyone and welcome to another Basic Grey Challenge where my lovely teamie Heather has picked a scrummy colour combo for you. YUM!!! I just love these colours and knew straight away that I had the perfect paper just waiting to be used.... the tartan check from my new Max & Whiskers pad!

Talking about Basic Grey, check out this link to see the forthcoming paper collections Oliver and Olivia....... mmmmmmmmm!!!! Don't they look gorgeous?

My image and sentiment on this card is by Kraftin' Kimmie and was sent to me my the lovely Martine for my birthday..... I love it so much ;o) And lucky me, I was sent the metal corner in a RAK from my dear mate Heather..... it's so nice when a treat drops through your letterbox! I cut my flowers from the EK Success daisy punches and stamped and cut the leaves from a Basic Grey Autumn Leaves set.

I hope you'll enter our challenge this week as I think those colours could be perfect for some Father's Day cards. I look forward to seeing what you create and don't forget to check out the work of my amazing teamies for all the inspiration you'll need.

Have a wonderful weekend..... I'm off to a World Cup party this afternoon where we're all bringing along our own curry dish and sides.... should be great fun!

Home Sweet Home......

Good morning everyone!
I really had to kick my own butt right out of my 6x6 square card comfort zone this week..... and here is the result! A bird house card!! I remember seeing one of these sometime last year and making a mental note to have a go at one sometime.... I wish I'd remembered where I saw it though as I had to conjur this one up from scratch.... no template to follow! To be honest it was quite easy to create something, as I just folded a large piece of card and cut out the main shape of the birdhouse and then I cut out three strips for the base and roof.

I used some yummy Basic Grey papers and lots of vintage lace and pearls on this card, along with a sweet Hanglar boy for the image. The flowers were cut from the MS Hydrangea punch and the leaves from a Sizzix die. I have a little tip for using die cuts which you might like to use..... if you're anything like me it's a hassle to get a die out and run it through the machine sometimes ( very lazy I know but I've got used to the instant results you get with punches), so I tend to get white card and have a mammoth die cutting session so I've got lots of leaves and flowers at the ready. Then when I want to add some to a card I just colour them with markers or Distress Inks and you tend to get a perfect colour match with the other things you've coloured on your card..... hope that helps!

I'm entering this card into the following challenges today:

Everybody Art Challenge - Things with Wings

Crafty Calendar Challenge - Bugs and Beasties

A Spoon Full of Sugar - Floral Delight

Daring Cardmakers - Pearls

Sentimental Sundays - New or Neglected Stash (new Stempleglede circle stamp)

Stampin' Sisters in Christ - Genesis 1:26

The Corrosive Challenge - Die Cuts

Edited to add...... Can't believe it, there's actually a bird house challenge out there in blogland this week.......

Dutch Dare - Bird House Card

Have a fab Wednesday and hope it's a creative one too!

Tilda - Made With Love.......

Happy weekend everyone!

I hope you're enjoying this very fine weather we're having at the minute..... long may it continue! Here's a card I made yesterday using Tilda from last year's Summer Kit, along with accessories from the Summer Kit and the latest Fairytale Kit. My papers are Papermania Blueberry Hill and I'd forgotten just how pretty these were! The lace is from my local haberdashery store and the flowers are yet more Papirloftet.... can you tell I love 'em? I added various punched and die cut leaves and a border was punched with my trusty MS doily punch.

I'm alot happier with this card..... I think it's my return to pastel colours once more ;o)

Loving Wishes.....

Good morning....... hope the sun is shining brightly for you today and you have some fun stuff planned! No fun for me sadly as I'm just making my way to work, but I'll just look forward to a cuppa in the garden when I get home ;o)

I made this card a couple of days ago but haven't had time to post it...... hmmm, it's one of those that had to grow on me. Not sure if it's the colours or what, as I seem to be very much in a pastel mood at the minute. Anyway I used this sweet Tilda holding a tulip and the new Basic Grey Cappella papers, along with various floral bits from Prima and Papirloftet. The sentiment is also Magnolia and you'll see I managed to sneak on some of my Stempleglede stamps in the corners again ;o) I'm entering this card into the Create4Fun Challenge as I have followed the wonderful sketch there.

Well I really must dash now and finish getting ready, so I'll catch you later!
