My Weight Loss Celebration Candy......


Hi everyone!

If I told you about all the times I've started and failed a diet in the past we'd be here all night, lol! However, something just feels right this time...... like I really want to do this for me! I'm so tired of being overweight and unfit..... and never being able to wear the nice things I see in the shops. I have at least 5 stone to lose overall...... maybe more, PHEW!!! Anyway, the good news is that I've lost my first stone, WOOHOO!!! And I figure that going public about the mountain ahead of me might just help to keep me on the straight and narrow. So I've decided to offer up some candy every time I lose another stone, so that we can all join in the celebrations together ;o)

I only ask two things..... that you add a piccie to your sidebar to spread the word and that you tell me what you miss the most when you are on a diet or healthkick. For me it has to be CHEESE ON TOAST! I'm not really a chocolate lover..... give me pizza and chips any day!!!!

Hello Tara!
As for me that was not a problem to be on diet and I did not miss any food at all if I had the aim ahead.. So if you want to eat some cheeze you would have just a little daily - this is not a problem even. The right diet is do not say 'no' to all food to get slimmer but to eat all food separately. This is my opinion on diet.

Good for you for wanting to be fit and healthy! I'm trying to exercise and eat more healthy too. I had 2 kids in a row, so i still have that baby weight to get rid off. I miss eatting sweets when i'm on diet, cookies, chocolates, cakes and i even have to cut out ice cream!!! =(

Tara a stone off already is a great start, wish I had your determination! I'm like you and don't have an over sweet tooth give me cheese and biscuits or any of the savoury things that aren't good for the weight.

Best of luck with sticking to it and hopefully you will be able to show us a dramatic before and after photo before too long.

Hi huni...Congrats on ur 1st stone...i am on weigh watchers just now and have lost 10.5 pounds but sadly i still have a good few stone to lose myself...ggrrr...lol...but feeling a lot better for it....I am very much with u...i am definately more savoury than sweet and i am really really really missing cheese...and walkers sensations sweet chilli crisps...mmmmmm lol...omg im making myself hungry...good luck and i look 4ward to hearing ur weekly updates....xxxxx

I have recently found out I have certain food intolerances so am now on a special dies YUCK! I cant have fresh bread toasted with melting butter or a lovely pasty or chicken pie. I miss lots of savoury things!

Wow many congratulations on losing your first stone. I am lucky in that I don't really need to lose too much probably about half a stone to feel comfy in my jeans again but I am really unfit and need to motivate myself to go and exercise (would much rather sit and make a card lol). I am another savoury lover and would miss my cheese, bread and crisps. Debs xx

I have tried several things my self to loose weight so I can imagine how you feel.
When I am on a diet the hardest part is to cut out crisps!!

My version of the diet is low-fat yogurt or sour milk. I drink kefir every night before going to sleep.
Really I have 15 cholecystis stones inside. Unfortunatelly our medicine (in my town) cannot help me. So I need diet too. But I LOVE coffee&chocolate.
Fortunatelly I dislike chips and cheese. So let's change!: ))))

Hi Tara, congratulations on your first stone (the hardest in my opinion ~ Other than keeping it off!) x I too need to lose weight (3 stone) and have stopped and started so many times too that I am almost too embarrassed to start again x however, you know what, reading your inspiring post, has made my mind up for me, I am going to start too!

What do I miss most while on a diet? That is hard, because I actually love all the food you are supposed to eat, but I suppose I miss chocolate the most x

Tara, we are both in the same boat. Hope it is made of strong wood lol lol. I have lost a stone in the last 3 weeks with Slimming World's extra easy plan and have a few mor stones to lose. That is understating !!! The food item I miss most is probably crisps or sweets or ice-cream or chocolate or chinese food...... get the idea .... HELP. But i will persevere, I need to BIG TIME. xx Doreen

Well done you, I am constantly trying to loose weight and find it so hard so well done and keep it up. My thing that I miss most, I think would have to be fresh baked bread and I know if I don't eat starchy foods like bread and potatoes I do loose weight but particularly bread is there when you go in the kitchen and your tummy is rumbling and its cold outside and the thought of a pioece of fruit is just not as appealing, I don't even need butter just a bucket full of willpower I think. Congratulations on losing a stone. I've been dieting on and off for as long as I can remember - my weight fluctuates by about 10lbs. I miss snacks when I'm dieting - crisps mainly.

Well done Tara,It's the hardest thing in the world to do isn't it...ohhh I hate diets, but, because I am prone to being a 'fatty' well you know the script...I LOVE cheese on toast too, the very thought of it..mmmm the best diet I ever did was slimmers worls, lost loads and never hungry...need to start again though, so overwieght it's doing my head in....wish you so much luck with this.....congrats.xxxx

I did the Big Loosing last year - had more to loose than you have. Just felt huge and uncomfortable. It really is all about mindset - and in my case it's either being totally and religiously strict or no luck at all. The moment I have ONE treat the focus is gone. I missed roast pork of all the things, lol
Still have about stone and half to shift - maybe I should join you. I've been trying to put together some candy anyway!!! lol

hi there, First things first this is a gorgeous candy and i love to take part, became aa follower an added it to my blog. Second i am dieting..the first week was Horrible.. i love chips and fries..and couldn't eat a thing. i did lost 10kg in 2 months..
I think dieting stays hard no matter how long youré doing it.

I wish I have the same strong aim like you. But too bad that I cannot stop my hands and mouth if my stomach is making noise. I like unhealthy foods like fried foods so that make it worst. I never achieved any milestone.....:(

Well done Tara!!!
Since I got my diabetes (type 1) diagnosis last year, the one thing I really miss is crisps!!! I used to sit and scoff them whilst watching the sport at the weekend. Now it just doesn't feel right not eating them!

I lost 10kg due to getting so ill and have managed to lose another 3kg since. Not a great deal but considering my weight has only ever been on an upward slope since I was 21, not bad going. Having loose jeans is a great feeling!!

I agree - don't deny yourself anything otherwise you'll just feel deprived. Every now and then I have a nibble of hubby's biscuit!

Awww Tara well done you, I am in exactly the same position and have never weighed this much in my life, I too am about 4 stone over weight and it scares me sometimes..
I just can never stay motivated and things have gone from bad to worse, but you go girl and I hope there are many more pounds that fly off!!
