Sarah Kay for Mum......

Good morning everyone!

It's very rare for me to make a card larger than 6x6 because I just find them hard to balance and always feel like there's too much empty space. However, when I'm making a card for a close family member I often think 6x6 is too small...... in the days when I bought cards I always went for something big when it was for a relative. So I decided to bite the bullet with my card and 'go bigger'! And it wasn't easy I can tell you!!!

I used a wonderful Sarah Kay image from Stampavie and coloured her with my Polys. The papers are from DCWV and were sent to me this week in a RAK by the lovely Annika.... I was thoroughly spoilt and she's such a sweetie for thinking of me and being so generous!! She also sent me some tickets and you can see I added one to my card, I really love these. I included my usual mix of flowers and leaves plus a pretty butterfly from Papirloftet.... then I went totally overboard with pearls, lol!

The card is for my M-I-L and it's her birthday today..... yesterday we had a party for her in the garden with lots of yummy summer food, more than a couple of jugs of Pimms and lots of chatter and laughter..... I hope she had a special day!

Well I must dash to work now so I'll wish you all a good day and catch you later ;o)

TTFN and TFL, hugs Tara xxx

This is very pretty Tara, I don't do big cards either, to me they usually overwhelm the main image but you've managed perfect proportions. Beautifully done.
