Have a Fairy Happy Birthday........

Good morning everyone...... hope you are all well?
Thanks for stopping by to check out my card today ;o) I've used one of the scrummy new Tildas from the Princesses and Pirates range, she is totally dreamy! I wanted to create something a bit different so I had a play with a toadstool template which I picked up at the NEC on Saturday and this is the result. The papers are from Basic Grey's new Green at Heart collection and the flowers are Prima.

I'm sorry this close up piccie is a bit blurred, it's the best my camera can manage! I just wanted to pick up the glitter I added to Tilda's wings and dress.
A Spoon Full of Sugar have asked for shaped cards this week so my toadstool fits nicely ;o)
I might add some more challenges if I find some in a bit ;o)

Have a fantabulous day and thank you for taking time out to look at my creation!

Hanglar Girl.........

Good morning Peeps!
Sorry for not being around much recently...... I seem to have had so much on! Including a wonderful trip to the NEC but more of that in a bit!
This is the card I made for my lovely friend Martine who celebrated her birthday on Saturday. I used a pretty Hanglar image and added some gorgeous roses which I got from Tab's store. The papers are from the new Basic Grey range and the brown felt borders are from my local craft store.
I'm entering this card into the following challenges:
Create4Fun - Brown, Pink and Cream
Squigglefly - Flower Power
Ooh La La - a button, a bow and some bling
Pink Elephant - pastels

So I had a fantastic day at the NEC and was lucky enough to meet up with loads of blogging buddies.......waving!! I spent waaaaaaay too much money, managed to part with a hundred quid with in 5 minutes of arriving thanks to the Magnolia stand, lol! At least the funds were available as a result of my big birthday ;o) We all met up at lunchtome and had a good old chinwag and a giggle and it felt so good to be able to chat about cards and blogging without getting tutted at like you do when the other half is around!! Roll on November girlies, I'm saving already! I'll post some piccies later this week when I get organised...... thanks for listening to me waffle on!!

Have a lovely day ;o)

Lots of my friends are turning 40 like me this year and this card was made for a friend Ian who I've known since we were in the same class at High School! I've also used Claudia's gorgeous sketch over at Friday Sketchers for my layout. The yummy papers are MME 'Ooh La La For Him' and the image is Hanglar.

Well I'm dashing off to work as usual so it's a short and sweet post from me!! Have a fab day today and I'll catch you all later ;o)

Basic Grey Week 16 - Tutti Frutti........

Good morning everyone!

Hope you're enjoying the start of your weekend? It's a bit rainy but I'm not planning to go out so that's fine.

This is my DT card for the latest Basic Grey Challenge and this week's theme is 'Tutti Frutti'....... so think fruit! Well I actually took the title at face value and came up with the idea of ice cream, which does of course come in fruity flavours (strawberry in this case) and so that's how my card came together. When you hop over you'll see that my very talented teamies have created some amazing cards and shown you just how many Basic Grey papers work beautifully with this theme.

I used papers from the Cupcake range (haven't worked with these for ages) and my image is one of last Summer's Magnolia stamps. Do you see I even managed to use my Martha Stewart Drippy Goo punch to create a border? I had a brainwave that the drips might work as melting icecream! The flowers are Prima and I created the sentiment on my PC.

I hope you can join us at Basic Grey for Tutti Frutti fun this week and don't forgot to check out the cards my teamies have made in more detail...........

I have some candy for you....... yep, the big one is approaching as I turn 40 next Wednesday so I thought it would be nice to celebrate with a giveaway! Anyway, onto the candy. Here's what you could win:

One 6x6 pad of the new Cosmo Cricket Garden Variety papers

3 Sweet Pea stamps from the ching-chou kuik's Fantasy Art Collection (I have stamped them so you can see the images)

A bottle of Tattered Angles Glimmer Mist Spray

3 metres of luxury lace

In order to be in with a chance of winning this stash all I ask is that you add a link to your blog....... please don't feel that you have to follow me or anything!

Finally, to distinguish between genuine entries and spam I would like you to answer a simple question for me:

What one word sums up the best thing about having a birthday? Wanna know what I think?

A Spoon Full Of Sugar Guest DT Card - Recycling.....

Hiya folks!

I'm delighted to show you my ASFOS guest card this morning...... I was approached by Joanne who is one of the DT members and I would like to say a huge thank you for asking me ;o)

The theme this week is 'recycling' and I had a long think about what to use. My daughter had a set for making pencil cases, and the ric-rac on this card is part of the set....I went for something bright and cheerful for a change.....I think it was inspired by the amount of sunshine we're getting! ;o)
I'm not sure who my design papers are by, but the butterfly borders are Bazzill 'Just the Edge' and the image is a Swiss Pixie.

I hope you can join this week's challenge and have fun finding something to recycle!

I'm off to work again so I'll catch you later......

Allsorts Challenge # 42 - Just For men........

Good Morning Everyone!

Yay!!! The sun has got his hat on today!!!!! What a beautiful morning in my neck of the moods ;o) I bet lots of you have sunshine again and I hope you have a lovely day.

I made a card for my nephew who is 12 this coming Friday and I wanted to create something a bit cool so I chose this fab Ian image from The Greetings Farm. My yummy papers are Basic Grey Archaic and my stocks are nearly gone now so I'm hoping I can get some more soon! I cut out the grass with a QuicKutz die and stamped on the little Magnolia ants.

I noticed Allsorts Challenge have a male theme this week so that's where I'm entering this card.

Well I'm off to work now so I'll catch up with you all later........

Basic Grey Week 15 - Photo Inspiration......

YAAAAAAY! Another week of Basic Grey, yippee! Oh boy, Martine has come up with the most GEORGEOUS photo to inspire you this week...... what a room!! And there are so many elements to choose from too! You could go with the baby theme, the colours, some of the actual objects in the room, the patterns and textures...... The first thing to jump out at me was the cloud wallpaper and it made me think of the wonderful Michael image I bought from Mo's Digital. Now you might be noticing that Micheal in this case has turned into a girl, LOL! Well who says Mo's images aren't versatile heh?! Let's just call her Michelle for today's card shall we, tee hee!

I took further inspiration from the colours on the picure...... I know there isn't that much pink but I just love it! I also used the baby theme which you can't help to notice!

I feel like we're going to get oodles of entries for this challenge with such a wonderful picture to use and if you need any more inspiration be sure to check out what my teamies have done as there are some scrumptious creations!!!

Well I'm off to finish getting ready now to take my son to cricket nets and then it's out shopping for school shoes.....

Enjoy the weekend everyone and thank for checking out my blog today ;o)

Fussy & Fancy Friday Challenge # 5 - The Movies.....

Hi there folks!
I've made a card for this week's Fussy & Fancy Friday Challenge where the theme is movies.... I chose 'Singing in the Rain' and I've used one of Kraftin' Kimmie's new release stamps, what a cutie!!! I was lucky enough to receive two of the new stamps as an early birthday package from my lovely pal Tara G, thank you my friend they're just perfect!

As you can see this particular image is fab for paper piecing and it's a technique I love to use. The papers are MME from a freebie set I bought with a magazine recently and I've added some Prima flowers and one or two die cut hearts.

Hope you all enjoy the rest of your day and I'll be back later to catch up with your creations. Toodles for now.....

TTFN and TFL, hugs Tara xx
