Harmony.... Always and Forever

Good morning everyone!

Here is a card I made yesterday for my friend's daughter who gets married this coming Saturday...... I received my gorgeous new Tilda and Edwin couple on Tuesday so just in the nick of time!!! And I think the wedding arch must be the most scrummy accessory every produced by Magnolia.... I LOVE IT!!!! I chose pretty Kay&Co papers and added a border with my MS heart punch as I really love that technique.

For my embellies I cut out flowers from the design paper and the main sentiment was also created this way. I'm loving liquid pearls at the minute and you'll see I managed to go crazy adding little pearly dots to every available space, lol!

I'm really happy with this card for a change, it worked out even better than I hoped and it's nice when that happens ;o)

I might enter some challenges but I'm not sure which ones yet, so I'll add the details later.

Thank you so much for stopping by and if you're leaving a comment then I truly appreciate your words..... but if you're just zipping by for a quick peek then that's cool too and I'm flattered that you chose my blog today ;o)

TTFN and TFL.....

Dream Big.......

Good morning everyone!

Today I'm showing you a card I made for the new Hanglar Challenge 'lovely hanglar only' which is now in its second week. The theme is shabby chic which I love and it inspired me to use one of my older paper pads, Classic by Kay&Co. The Hanglar image was sent to me along time ago in a RAK and I coloured her with my pencils.

I got to use my new Tim Holtz die for the swirls and created a shabby calico fabric flower to finish the look.... I saw one of these a while back in blogland but have forgotten where, so if it was on your blog please let me know so I can credit you properly...... and whoever you are thanks for the inspiration anyway!

I'm also entering my card into the following challenges:

Crafty Creations Challenge - It's A Stitch Up

Have a wonderful day today and enjoy that sunshine if you're lucky enough to be having some ;o)

The Sweet Life......

Good morning folks!

Happy May Day to everyone enjoying the Bank Holiday today....... oh it's so nice to have an extra day off!

Thought I'd make another card using one of the fabulous images from Magic Moonlight blog..... these images are free and so beautiful! If you haven't used them before I recommend taking a peek and I bet you'll be spoilt for choice.

My papers are Kay&Co and the sentiments are also from this collection, cut from a sheet of the design paper. I've used my Martha Stewart Lattice border and lots of Prima flowers..... all finished off with some ribbon and lace from my stash and some sticky pearls.

I'm entering this card into the Stamptacular Sunday Challenge where the theme is 'A Celebration For Moms' and you have to include an image of a lady as the feature..... well Mother's Day has been and gone here in the UK but it's still nice to join in the overseas celebrations!

I'm still in my PJs so I best dash off for a shower now!! Enjoy your day.......

A very 'Hoppy Easter' to you all......

Afternoon friends!
Just wanted to wish you all a very Hoppy Easter and my card for this week's Just Magnolia Challenge fits in perfectly!
The girls over on the team have asked us to create a card with at least two folds for the special monthly challenge, so I decided to create a stairfold card..... these are sooooo much fun to make and you can add lots of stamping!

I used lots of images from the Magnolia Easter collection and papers from Kay&Co and Papermania. I picked up the giant tree stamp from the Magnolia stand at the NEC, isn't it gorgeous? I also cut some grass with a QuicKutz die and used my new MS fence punch which was a birthday pressie from my fab friend Heather ;o) I created the 'Hoppy Easter' sentiment on my PC.
I really enjoyed creating this card and will be making more like this for sure! The DT at JM have created some amazing examples of cards with multiple folds so do check out their creations for some inspiration..... makes you think outside the box a bit ;o)

Well enjoy the rest of your chocolate-filled weekend folks and thanks for stopping by for a visit ;o)

ABC Challenge Tutorial Blog - Cracked Glass Effect......

Hello Peeps!
I decided to have a go at the first tutorial on the new monthly blog challenge created here by the ABC team. There's a fab instruction for you to follow and the effect is really nice..... I don't have a heat gun so I used some of the Crackle Effects gloss to create something similar.

My image is from the wonderful blog Shabby Chic PapirSkitter and if you haven't seen these images before then hop over for a look, especially if you like the vintage style. Papers are Kay&Co which were lovely to use as they've sadly sat gathering dust for a while now...... which is due to the fact that I have an enormous collection of papers and not enough time to use them all!!!

Sorry to be short and sweet but wishing you all a happy day today ;o)

Just Magnolia Challenge - Thank You......

Hiya peeps!

Firstly I just want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for all the lovely comments you take time out to leave and for those of you who stop by my blog for a peek at what I'm up to. Things are a bit stressful for me just now both at work and at home, which is making regular blogging more difficult and so I can't always get round to commenting on your wonderful creations. It's nothing that won't get sorted in time but I just thought I'd explain as I hate being behind with stuff on here. Making cards is my therapy though so I expect you'll still see plenty of things from me!!

I'm entering this Magnolia easel into this week's Just magnolia Challenge which is 'Thank You'........ okay so it might not be totally obvious that this card has anything to do with giving thanks, but I think it fits because I've decided I'm giving this to my mum for Mother's Day and that's all about being thankful, isn't it?

I used a Tilda image from one of last year's releases because I think she's very sweet and pretty..... and I think this is one of my fave colour combos too, pink and green. The papers are Kay&Co and the flowers are Prima. The extra sentiment stamps are all Magnolia and the butterfly is a punch, but I'm not sure who makes it. I had one of the lovely deep Martha Stewart punches for Christmas so that's what I used to create the scalloped panels. Do you like the leaves? Got myself a new Sizzix die and I really like the unusual shape of these..... well you know me and my leaf fetish, lol!!!

Well I'm dashing off to Tesco now to get some bits and bobs for making a curry..... hope to sneak on later for a bloghop and I wish you all a fab weekend!

Take care, TTFN and TFL......

Big hugs , Tara xxx
