Basic Grey Week 24 - Gingham......

Good morning everyone!

I hope you are all keeping well and enjoying the warm weather we continue to have! Here is my DT card for this week's Basic Grey Challenge where we have the theme of gingham. Now I do think it's a bit surprising considering how many ranges BG have produced that they don't ever seem to give us gingham in their collections!!! So me thinks you might need to source your gingham from elsewhere and then add in some yummy BG paper to match..... that's what most of my teamies did for their cards and they've done an amazing job as always!!

For my card I chose to work with a Penny Black image as these have been neglected for such a long time! This teacup with the mice is my fave of them all and was such a pleaure to colour. I chose some lovely brown and cream gingham from my stash and I'm not sure who it's made by, but the patterned Basic Grey paper is from the new Cappella collection. I also added a gorgeous vintage sticker sent to me by the lovely Annika and how perfect that it refers to tea!!!!

I made the calico flower and added a Prima Hydrangea and some Sizzix leaves...... and the little twigs were collected from beside a small lake near where I live, lol!

Right I think I've waffled enough for today....... I hope to see some of your lovely creations over at Basic Grey so go check out that gingham!!!

Have a lovely weekend and take care!!!

TTFN and TFL, hugs Tara xxxx
