Here is my card for this week's Basic Grey Challenge which is a colour challenge, you can use either blue and brown, pink and brown or pink and green. Us DT gals were lucky enough to play with some wonderful 'All about Cupcakes' downloads as The Cutting Cafe, our latest sponsor, are giving away free downloads to two lucky winners at the end of this week's challenge! I certainly enjoyed putting this card together because I love cupcakes, especially those with yummy sweet icing swirled on the top. Got you all drooling now, haven't I? Why don't you drool some more whilst looking at the creations from the other DT members, scrumdidliumptious me thinks!!
Materials: Image - Cutting Cafe Download Sentiment - Cutting Cafe Download Papers - Basic Grey Eva Embossong - Cuttlebug Swiss Dots Dies - Nestie Scalloped Circles Colouring - ProMarkers Punch - XCut Daisy Embellishments - Ribbon and Brads from my stash Accents - Stickles Glitter Glue, Stitching Border Stamp
I decoupaged the icing on the cake for added dimension and then added the little punched daisies. I thought I might be the only one opting for the pink and green combo from the DT because the pink/brown and blue/brown might be the more obvious choices for cupcakes (I'm thinking chocolate here) but I was wrong, you joined me Chris, YAY!
Cardmaking is my passion and I love sharing tips and ideas with other talented crafters. I wake up with ideas buzzing around in my head and go to sleep the same way. My family think I'm bonkers but that's fine by me. I have an ever-growing wishlist, made worse by all the wonderful cards I see when hopping around on a daily basis. I have made some wonderful friends through my hobby, long may it continue!!
