Well it's week 4 of the Colour Create Challenge already and I'm loving every minute of it! I think this is my fave of all the colours we've chosen so far, actually it was my dd Georgia's idea. Funny but pink and grey reminds me very much of clothes I used to wear in the eighties growing up. I had a pale grey ra-ra skirt and a matching hoop-striped sweatshirt with bat wings and a crisscross back.......... with the matching pale pink obligatory legwarmers of course! Bring back any memories?
For this week's card I have used the gorgeous Hettie image from Pink Petticoat. I was really tempted to add the 'Does my Bum Look Big' sentiment, but that isn't really sticking to the cute and cuddly theme now, is it? Rather cheeky in fact..... get it, hee hee?
If you look closely you may be able to tell that I used gloss on the little grey flowers and there is lots of decoupage going on too! I'll keep this card for a newborn baby girl or maybe a little girl's birthday, always handy to have in stock methinks.
Materials: Image - Pink Petticoat Download Sentiment - computer generated Papers - DCWV Quote Stack Punch - Martha Stewart ZigZag Border Colouring - ProMarkers Embellishments - Sticky Gems and Ribbon from my stash Accents - Rangers Glossy Accents
I really hope you can join in the challenge this week and also check out the cards made by the other DT members....... they're so pretty!
Well, it's back to school and work then tomorrow (big sigh). Still, I suppose if we didn't have to do the boring stuff then we wouldn't appreciate the nicer things in life, would we? Have a great week peeps!
Cardmaking is my passion and I love sharing tips and ideas with other talented crafters. I wake up with ideas buzzing around in my head and go to sleep the same way. My family think I'm bonkers but that's fine by me. I have an ever-growing wishlist, made worse by all the wonderful cards I see when hopping around on a daily basis. I have made some wonderful friends through my hobby, long may it continue!!
Everything on this blog is my own work unless otherwise stated.
