A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge # 36

Evening folks!

I am totally in love with these images and I'm enjoying creating cards with them now that my friend Jo has kindly sent me some to play with!

This week's brief over at A Spoon Full of Sugar is 'Love is in the Air' and you are asked to make something for a loved one. I've made this card for my hubster for Valentine's Day. He was in the room when I was putting the finishing touched to it, but I'm sure he didn't notice what I was doing as he isn't really interested in cardmaking, lol!

I doodled around my image and had a go at faux stitching, I am quite pleased with how that turned out, looks quite real and it's a good job really because I really am so hopeless at sewing! You may also be able to pick up the glossy accents I added to the little dangling hearts, I love that stuff!!

Materials:
Image - Leanne Ellis
Sentiment - my own writing (can't you tell, hee hee) and inside is Studio G
Papers - Pink Petticoat, Basic Grey Granola
Flowers - large black one recieved in a RAK, medium white one Prima, small red roses Hobbycraft
Dies - Sizzix Swirl, Sizzix Scalloped Heart, Sizzix Row of Hearts
Punch - Martha Stewart Doily Edge
Colouring - ProMarkers
Embellishments - Pearls, Ribbon, Chipboard Corner and Pin from my stash
Accents - Glossy Accents on image hearts, Black Letraset fineliner to create doodled edge and faux stitching.

Just a very simple design on the inside, I don't always bother but thought I'd best make the effort for the old hubster!

How are you managing in the snow? I've seen some great pictures today when I've been having a nosy at your blogs. I love the fact that kids can get outside and get some decent fresh air. When my son came in from the garden a short while ago his cheeks were bright red! He had a whale of a time out there but he was a bit chilly!!

Have a lovely evening, catch you later.

I love these colours together, and you put them together so well!
There is a little something for you on my Blog.
I made a card for your new challenge blog today, but it was too dark to take a decent picture by the time it was finished, so it will have to wait until tomorrow!
