Hello again peeps!
Hope you're enjoying your evening - the sun has finally appeared here. I must confess that after being good yesterday I did sneak the heating on for half an hour today whilst I was indoors. Best not let on to Mr Hubster though, you know what they're like, lol!
The colours this week for the
Copic Colour Challenge are right up my street, so I decided to have a play today. I had a flick through my mountain of images and decided upon this beauty sent to me by my gorgeous buddy
Jo. I love a good old cuppa and I think this image is great fun and very sweet too.
Now, here's the bit where I need your opinion please? I made this card for my hubster's aunt who I don't know very well. I had a lovely sheet of scrapbook paper by Kay & Co with lots of witty sentiments on, so I cut one up to use on this project thinking it would be appropriate for someone in their more senior years. But now I'm thinking it's a bit cheeky and might be taken the wrong way. So I need a second opinion please - her birthday isn't until the end of next week so I have plenty of time to make another if needs be. Thanks so much ;o)
Materials:
Image - Sugar Nellie
Sentiment - Kay & Co paper
Papers - Kay & Co
Colouring - Copics
Punch - Leone Em Ash Branch, EK Success Medium Retro Flower
Embellishments - Felt flowers and mini brads from stash
Accents - Brown ink for stitching
TTFN and TFL xxxx

Hi Tara, I certainly love the card- the image is beautiful and the paper is very pretty.
To be honest, I have a couple of "senior" aunts who would really love the sentiment but some who would not appreciate it and if you don't know her very well maybe it would be better to play it safe and put a different sentiment on it, as I'm sure she'd love the card, Ruth x
PS hope you still speak to me........x
Fabby card Tara, the image is lovely and the papers are gorgeous :-) I think she will love this, sentiment an all :-) Leave it alone its fabulous !
If she's a miserable old sod that's her prob !! :-))))

oh dilemma dilemma!! i love the card BTW. Great nackground paper, fabby image ( check out my post tomorrow!!) and I adore the book print flowers!
Now onto the sentiment..if it was me (and I am a scaredy cat..) I would play it safe. If I knew her i would definetely go for it but if not I would be nice and poilte ! Ha ha ..there is my tupence worth!
speak soon, Hugs Judy xx
I don't understand the full meaning of the sentiment. or the joke, but I do know I love the card! ;)
Hi Tara
Love the card and the distressing is sooo cool, i'm not exactly sure what it means either, but the card is fabulous maybe take off the sentiment and play it safe!!,
Hugs Di
Great card....Love the colouring in and image. Thanks for joining in the Copics Colour Challenge
Sarah
Gorgeous card Tara and deffo a super cute image. I agree with Ruth & Judy and would probs play it safe with the sentiment but then I'm a scaredy cat too lol!
I love the card as it is, so gorgeous.
As for the sentiment, I can see why you are worried - can your other half give you any advice, he should know her better after all! ~♥~
Beautiful colouring Tara and I love the image, Gorgeous details and distressed edges, Big Hugs, Nikki x
BEautiful card, love those colours! I am on the fence about the sentiment, I am hopeless with them and always play safe!
Have a good night, Debx
Ooh, I'm not sure, I'm with Stacey about the sentiment ~ ask Hubby!
The card on the other hand is gorgeous, I love the image and flowers!
Beth xx
oooooo I really do love this one Tara, the papers look fab and work so well as flowers, love the distressed edges too and your image is coloured in beautifully.
Ok as for the sentiment, I can see where your coming from it is a witty saying, but maybe you'd be better off playing it safe and just leaving the "enjoy yourself" if you knew her better then it would be a different matter. I don't think it would offend her though, it would make a great conversation starter.....xx vicki xx
Fabulous card Tara!! I'm always worried about witty sayings too and usually play it on the safe side, but I like it!!
Hugs, Kelly
Oh gorgeous card, image, colouring and fabby sentiment but understand your concerns.
Thank you for playing along with Copics Colour Challenge...Tara go back and add your link to Mr Linkie to be in the running for the candy!

Wow gorgeoues card ,stunning colouring and the flowers are to die for ,love it ,hugs Dawnxxx
Love your card Tara, great colour combo. I think as long as she has some sense of humour, the sentiment will be fine!
Clairexx
Wowww Tara, what a beautiful card,l love the image and colours.
Hugs Riet.x
I love your card it's beautifully done. As to the sentiment I'm with the play it safe crew, although I think it would great for someone you knew could take a laugh.
Hi Tara gorgeous card my mum and mil would love it so i'm not much help really am i lol. luv gina xx
Hope you and your family are keeping well. xx
I love this card Tara. I must admit that if someone sent a card like that to me with that sentiment I'd have a good old belly laugh - but that's just me (and I hope I'm not that senior...yet). Can hubster let you know if she likes a laugh? If she does, just go for it.
Sharon xx
tara, I absolutely love your card. I always prefer cards that have a different sentiment on than just happy birthday so I'm sure your hubster's aunt will love it too.
Thanks for playing along

Hugs Jacqui xx
Tara your card is totally yummy ! I would play it safe if it concerns you so much , the card is far too lovely to disgard , why dont you just change the sentiment... im sure she will love it !

I really love tis card. I think you did a terrific job and it's fun. I love the shabbiness it has.
As for the sentiment I guess that depends on if you know the person or not. If she has a sense of humour then go for it. If not well then maybe playing it safe is best.
If you do make another I'd love to see it.
Have a good one.
Take care,
Paola
the card is so gorgeous Tara I love the image, colours and the papers are fantastic...I think though some people may take the sentiment wrongly Im afraid, why not just take the bottom sentiment off and keep the enjoy yourself sentiment as its such a gorgeous card I think she would love it but you dont want to risk offending her xxx
Fabulous card Tara and gingham which I love so much we're twins on that one! The image is gorgeous, I got this stamp and still haven't used it, why not I ask myself now I've seen yours. I think I'd probably not use the sentiment just to be on the safe side as you don't know the aunt very well. Hope you've had a good week and everyone is ok and that you have a good weekend. Hugs, Chris xxx
Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving such a lovely comment! Had to pop over and visit you and your work is just gorgeous! Great job on your copic colouring! Fabulous papers and the flower details are gorgeous! As far as the sentiment goes, go with what your gut tells you, it's normally spot on!! She's gonna love the card though!
Hugs, Danielle
This is gorgeous! She'll love the card! If you have to ask yourself about the sentiment, it's probably best to find another just to be on the safe side....especially since you really don't know each other well enough to be cheeky! Just my humble opinion! Thanks for playing our challenge!
Stunning, fantastic papers and fabulously coloured image. Fantastic colours this time ....couldn't cope with last week's yellow - ugh!!
If in doubt - something inside is telling you not to. You only have to change the bottom sentiment - I'm sure you can thing of something more suitable.
hugs Heather xx
Tara, this is just my kind of card - stunning!!!!
Love the colours, papers, flowers - everything!
I'm rubbish at deciding on sentiments though :-(
Thank you for joining us at Copics Colour Challenge.
